Save the Date: Bon Secours Annual GP Study Day 26th January 2019
The largest GP study day in the country sponsored by Bon Secours Hospital, Cork (BSHC) will take place on Saturday 26th January in the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs Conference Centre, Tivoli, Cork.
Dr Cróchán O’Sullivan will be delivering 2 presentations tailored for primary care.
The title of the first presentation is:
“Making Sense of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Your Patients: New Data about Aspirin, Fish Oils and Omega-3 Fatty Acids”. 10:15
This session will be chaired by Dr Pat Hill from the Blackpool Medical Centre, Cork and will start at 10:15am. Also featured in this session is Dr Keith Morrice, Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at BSHC who will be presenting on “Racing Hearts and Exercise”.
The title of the second session will be:
“Shortness of Breath in Primary Care. What Causes Should I be Considering? The Cardiac and Respiratory Perspective”. 15:00
Dr Oisín O’Connell, Consultant Respiratory Physician at BSHC will be presenting the respiratory perspective and Dr Cróchán O’Sullivan will present on the cardiac perspective. Each presentation will last 20 minutes and will provide a comprehensive overview of this important topic. This session will be chaired by Dr Paul Ryan from Mayfield Family Practice, Cork.
The keynote address will be delivered at 08:45 by Dr Mark Davis, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the tile of his talk is:
“How to spot the signs and protect yourself from professional burnout” 08:45
